Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz launched a new C Class model in India, which is priced at Rs 34,62,609 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The launch of the new C Class AMG Performance Edition comes just a week after the German carmaker rolled out its third generation
M-Class SUV in India, which is priced between Rs 56.9 lakh and Rs 66 lakh.
"With the launch of the new C Class AMG Performance Edition, Mercedes-Benz aims to redefine the luxury entry level sedan segment. We are now looking at expanding through launching new products and increasing network penetration," said
Mercedes-Benz India Director (Sales & Marketing) Debashis Mitra.
During the January-April period, Mercedes-Benz sold around 2,500 units in India.
Mercedes-Benz will also set up its own high-tech paint shop in India which is likely to be operational later this year.
