
Motorola launched its third-generation Moto G smartphone for Rs 11,999 at its global launch in Delhi on Tuesday. The phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart.com starting July 28 midnight.
The new Moto G features a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass display. The phone is IPX7 certified, which makes it water resistant in up to three feet water for 30 minutes. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.4Ghz and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
Motorola has added a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 and multi-player IR filter and a 5MP front facing camera. It will have 2470mAh battery onboard.
Other features include Quick capture, Moto display and Chop twice. The variant with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage has been priced at Rs 11,999, while the 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage variant is available for Rs 12,999.
Both support expandable memory and have LTE support. The Moto G will compete with the Xiaomi Mi 4i and Xolo Black that has been priced at Rs 12,999. Motorola is even offering upgrade offers for the existing Moto G (1st gen and 2nd gen) users.
