Motorola has shared formal invites for its July 28 event, where the company is expected to showcase its next generation Moto G and Moto X smartphones. Since then, there has been much speculation about the specifications these two new phones might boast.
Accidently, Motorola has released some details about the Moto G (2015). Once again, the phone will be available in white and black front housing. But the company is extending its Moto Maker to Moto G as well.
It will be available in 8 GB and 16 GB capacity with the latter having 2 GB of RAM. Other rumours suggest it could have an HD Gorilla Glass display, 13 MP camera, all day battery life, 5 MP front facing camera, memory card support up to 32 GB, dual SIM support and a water resistant design.
Knowing Motorola, the company is likely to ship it with Android 5.1.1.
Apparently, the new Moto X will have a 5.5-inch display and a front facing flash for selfies. It might also have a fingerprint scanner embedded into the bottom speaker. Not many details are available about this smartphone yet.
Last year in September, Motorola had announced the second generation Moto G, Moto X and Moto 360 smartwatch. The company might also announce an update to the Moto 360.
Motorola is hosting a launch event in New Delhi as well as in London, New York and San Paulo on July 28. India will be the first country to host the event at 3:30 PM IST.
Since the company's return to the Indian market in February 2014, it has been launching its new smartphones in India in line with global launches.
