MTNL hikes broadband rates by up to 20 per cent

The internet service company has hiked the charges for the broadband service by up to 20 per cent. The revised tatariffs will be effective from the next billing cycle in April.

The new financial year is going to be more expensive for MTNL's broadband internet customers as the company has hiked charges for the service by up to 20 per cent.

The increased tariff will be implemented on both limited and unlimited data plans.

MTNL Broadband customers for the closed Data usage plans such as Tri B_200P will now have to pay Rs 248 per month instead of Rs 200 per month, Rs 299 per month for DSL 249 Combo and Rs 551 per month for DSL combo 500 plan.

Users of unlimited plans will have to pay Rs 500 per month (DSL _UnItd_ 450_Monthly) and Rs 600 per month (DSL Unlimited Combo 550). Under both the plans the minimum speed will now be 768Kbps from 7am to 6pm , 1Mbps from 6pm to 12am and 2Mbps speed from 12am to 7am.

Aside from these, users of the Xpress UL Combo 650 plan will have to pay Rs 699 per month.

MTNL's revised tariffs will be effective from the next billing cycle in April.
