Nikon India has announced the
launch of its D5200 DSLR camera with an eye on the
entry-level customer.
The D5200 is a
compact and lightweight model, but the new DX-format CMOS sensor, pixel count of 24.1 mp and the EXPEED 3 image-processing engine means it can be used for serious photography also.
The camera features
a swing out style Vari-angle LCD and has a 39-point focus, scene recognition system, i-TTL balanced fill-flash and auto white-balance control. With D-Movie function, it also supports full-HD 1080p recording.
The camera, with the Wireless Mobile Adapter WU-1a, can be remotely controlled via the new Wireless Remote Controller WR-R10/WR-T10 (available separately). When the WU-1a is connected to the camera, images can be transferred to smart devices, such as a smartphone or tablets.
It is available in black, red and bronze and weighs approximately 555 g.
Nikon's latest DSLR D5200 body, plus the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR kit lens, is priced at Rs 46,950. It will be available in stores from December.
