At the Nokia World in Los Angles,
Nokia announced its first smartphone to run on
Windows Phone 8 . Calling it as the most innovative smartphone ever, the Lumia 920 has a unibody design and packs in the PureView camera and a 4.5-inch display called Nokia PureMotion HD+. Running on Snapdragon S4 processor, it also supports wireless charging.
The Carl Zeiss optics uses advanced floating lens technology that helps in stabilizing motion blur while shooting. The camera in the Nokia Lumia 920 is able to take in five times more light than competing smartphones without using flash, making it possible to capture clear, bright pictures and video indoors and at night.
It also compensates for hand movement while the photo is being taken. The PureMotion HD+ display promises blur free scrolling with higher refresh rates. One can also take a screenshot on the Lumia 920 now. Other features onboard include Nokia Maps, Drive and Transport. Nokia is also talking about City Lens, an augmented reality app, and augmented reality aspect will also work on Nokia Maps.
The Lumia 920 will pack in a 2000 mAh battery and will be compatible with
wireless charging accessories . There is no update about the pricing yet but the device will hit a few selected markets by the end of 2012.
