
Leading bourse National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw a record turnover of Rs 5.67 lakh crore in equity derivatives on Wednesday.
As many as 2.40 crore derivative contracts were traded on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) amounting to a turnover of Rs 5.67 lakh crore, a record high for a day, the bourse said on Wednesday.
Out of this total turnover, trading in index options took the highest share with Rs 4.53 lakh crore followed by stock futures contracts at Rs 69,378.78 crore.
Besides, index futures recorded a turnover of about Rs 30,507 crore, while value of stock option stood at Stock Options Rs 13,450.10 crore.
Meanwhile, equity derivatives turnover on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) stood at over Rs 2.80 lakh crore with 68.37 lakh contracts traded in the segment.
