Review: Samsung Tab S gives competition to Apple iPad Air

Similar to Android phones, Samsung has flooded the tablet space too. The recent launch being the Tab S , that looks like a bigger sibling of the Galaxy S5 smartphone.

The front display is accompanied with the multi-tasking key, back key and home key. The rear has the same textured finish. The 8.4-inch tab has got a 2560x1600 super AMOLED display which is super bright and was amazing to watch videos and brightness.

It is powered by an Exynos 5 Octa processor (1.9 GHz quad-core+ 1.3 GHz quad-core) and is couple with 3 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and tops Samsung's customised UI. It feature 16 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 128 GB.

The overall performance of the tablet is smooth, including streaming videos and playing games. Watching full HD Videos and playing heavy graphic games was like a breeze.

The tab didn't showed any lag or heated. It has got a fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone, an IR blaster for making it work as a remote control. It also packs in an 8 MP rear camera, which can even be used for casual photography.
