Apple's gold iPhone 5S might not be available in India yet, but rival Samsung has brought out its own golden coloured smartphone for those who like a bit of bling.
Priced at Rs 51,900, the Galaxy Golden will be the Korean company's costliest phone in India.
The device is a clamshell Android smartphone featuring two 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screens. There is a touch display on the front and when the flip is open, a display with an alpha-numeric keypad appears inside.
After Apple's successful launch of an all-gold iPhone 5S in some markets, a lot of other players too are adding the precious metal to their phones. The gold iPhone has a waiting list of months in many countries.
Incidentally, the HTC One has a 24-carat gold version, which comes at $3,015 (Rs 1,90,400 approximately) for the 32GB model.
Samsung's Galaxy Golden is powered by a dual-core 1.7 GHz processor and 1.5GB RAM. It runs Android 4.2 and has a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.9MP front camera. The latest device from Samsung has a 1820 mAh battery.
All specs you would find in a Rs 20,000 smartphone. But then, those aren't forged in gold.
