Samsung has announced the date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event where the company will launch the next flagship Note, the Galaxy Note 5. The South Korean firm said the event will be held on August 13 at Lincoln Centre at New York. Samsung also plans to livestream the event on YouTube.
Since 2011, all the Galaxy Notes have been announced in the first week of September at IFA Berlin.
This year, the company is hosting an event much in advance in the US. Leaks have been pouring in suggesting the Galaxy Note 5 to have a 5.7-inch QHD display, an Exynos processor, 4 GB of RAM, a 16 MP rear camera, 32 GB onboard storage, 3220 mAh battery and will run on Android Lollipop operating system.
India is a priority market for Samsung and the firm has launched all its flagship smartphones in the country, in line with global launches. The Galaxy Note 5 launch will come almost a month before Apple unveils its new iPhone in September.
