Following international unveiling,
Samsung launched the
Galaxy Note 800, the 10.1 inch
tablet in India, priced at Rs 39,990. This is an Android powered tablet with the Samsung's S-Pen input found on the original Note. The Galaxy Note 800 is powered by 1.4GHz quad core processor and is paired with 2GB RAM. It runs on Android IceCream Sandwich and has Samsung Touch Wiz user interface on the top.
Offering 16 GB onboard storage, it supports expandable memory of up to 32 GB. Other features include a 5 MP rear camera, 1.9MP front facing camera, Wi-Fi and 3G support. In addition to the regular apps, Adobe's 'Photoshop Touch' has been optimised for the S-Pen that comes preinstalled on the tablet.
There is also a 'My Education' app targeting school students to take advantage of the interactive digital learning experience. This tablet also allows users to operate two different apps side by side at the same time.
Samsung's Country Head, Ranjit Yadav stated, "India is one of the first 10 markets in the world where the Galaxy Note 800 is being launched. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 800, Samsung provides a unique user experience that goes beyond passive content consumption to a new world of productivity, active creation and personalised communications."
