Samsung Electronics has launched Galaxy Star, its most affordable smartphone, in India.
The Galaxy Star is priced at Rs 5,240. With this device, Samsung now has 15
smartphone models priced between Rs 5,240 and Rs 41,500.
The company says the Star is powered by an "ultrafast" A5 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB RAM and runs the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. With a 3-inch capacitive touch screen, the device comes loaded with a 2MP camera and Bluetooth 4.0. The phone has 4GB internal memory which can be expandable up to 32GB.
Samsung has loaded the device with its Intelligent Motion UI that offers intuitive uses like shake for refresh and update, flipping for volume mute and the like. The phone also has dual SIM slots with an enhanced Smart Dual SIM UX. The phone has a 1200mAh battery.
