The monster camera phone features a high-resolution 41 MP sensor with Carl Zeiss optics, combined with state-ofthe-art pixel oversampling technology. Well, it is not a 41 MP camera. In fact, the smartphone's extra-large sensor uses the pixel oversampling to combine numerous pixels to create a single pixel. However, the default shooting resolution of the PureView mode is 5 MP in 16:9 aspect ratio and users will also have the option to capture images in 2 MP and 8 MP resolutions. Benefits include lossless zoom and superior low-light performance. Also, the images clicked from the 808 PureView will let users access 3x lossless zoom for stills and 4x zoom in Full HD 1080p videos. This innovative technology has been loaded on a Symbian Belle device for now with a 4-inch touch display.

The flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese giant for the year 2012 is the One X. This device also ushers in a new HTC family name for upcoming devices, like the Galaxy for Samsung and Optimus for LG. The quad-core processor will power the One X for super-fast browsing, great imaging and superb gaming over the 4.7-inch HD screen. Ultimately, this beast will be the one to compete against the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S III or even the new Apple iPhone likely to be announced later this year.
