If you are
planning to buy a smartphone, wait! The month of April will see a number of smartphones being launched for the Indian market from leading handset manufacturers.
HTC is leading the race by launching two smartphones from its recently announced One series.
The HTC One X will operate on Android v4.0 and will have a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. With 8 MP camera and Beats Audio on board, HTC is expected to
price it around Rs 35,000.
The company is also launching the HTC One V that will have a single-core processor with 512 MB RAM but will also operate on Android IceCream Sandwich.

Sony Mobile (earlier Sony Ericsson) and Research-In-Motion are also planning to introduce a few smartphones.
Announced early this year at Consumer Electronic Show, Las Vegas, the Sony Xperia S should be available at Sony World around April 7-8. This phone features a 12.1 MP camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 4.3 inch display, 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM. This will run on Android v2.3 and will be upgradable to IceCream Sandwich later this year.
The rumoured price of the Xperia S is around Rs 32,000. However, the company might reconsider the pricing considering the competition it'll get from the much more powerful HTC One X.

Top Android phones under Rs 10,000 BlackBerry fans should expect Curve 9220, a mid-ranged BlackBerry smartphone with a 2.44 inch display and a QWERTY keypad to be announced in the month of April too. The other details available include a 2 MP camera, Wi-Fi and FM Radio.
Earlier this month, Samsung also announced that the Galaxy Beam - its Android smartphone with an integrated projector - will be available in the month of May. The phone will have a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and a 15 lumens projector that will be capable to project videos and images up to 50-inch wide surface.
