SpiceJet offers discount to fliers with hand baggage only

SpiceJet is pulling off another cracker of a scheme this holiday season. The budget airline on Tuesday launched its "Hand Baggage Only" fares.

As part of the new scheme, the Ajay Singh-led airline is offering discounts to passengers carrying hand baggage only. The scheme will be available on most direct domestic flights with a minimum 30-days advance purchase.

It is estimated that the new scheme will provide a discount worth Rs 200 on a one-way flight while for a round trip, the discount could turn out to be as high as Rs 1,000.

This isn't the first scheme SpiceJet is offering this month. Earlier, the airline launched its International Travel Sale scheme, as part of which it was offering fliers fares starting Rs 3,099.
