Student of the Year crosses Rs 50 cr mark at the box office

Student of the Year pulled in around Rs 8 crore in its second weekend, taking its ten-day collection to Rs 51 crore.

As some of the recent releases have not fared too well at the box office , Student of the Year, directed by Karan Johar and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Gauri Khan, is likely to continue its good showing till Diwali.

According to box office estimates, Student of the Year is likely to do over Rs 60 crore business.

Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, Student of the Year box office collections were buoyed by its surprisingly good showing in the Delhi circuit as compared to the Mumbai region.

Student of the Year netted around Rs 41 crore in its first weekend, even though it did not have a very strong opening. However, Student of the Year's collections improved over the weekdays aided by a holiday on Wednesday.
