Talaash earned around Rs 6.25 crore at the Indian box office on Monday, taking its overall collection to over Rs 50 crore.
Directed by Reema Kagti, Talaash features
Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor.
Talaash has done a good business at the
multiplexes but its single-screen performance was not that strong.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Aamir Khan and Farhan Akhtar, Talaash had a good opening weekend, netting around Rs 43.50 crore - the eighth highest opening for a
Bollywood movie. The list is topped by Ek Tha Tiger, which grossed around Rs 56 crore in its first weekend.
Apart from a strong performance in Rajasthan, Gujarat and metros, Talaash's earnings were boosted by its good showing in south India.
In Talaash, Aamir Khan plays an investigation officer, Inspector Shekhawat, who receives a phone call early in the morning informing him about an accident and everything starts to unfold from there.
