Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the
country's largest software services firm, has opened its Solutions Center in Minneapolis, US. It is the latest
addition to TCS' growing operations across North America.
The Minneapolis centre will serve as a hub for delivering technology services to customers in the region and is an integral part of TCS' Global Network Delivery Model.
"The decision to open a new TCS facility in the Minneapolis region is part of our company's on-going
commitment to grow our presence in each and every market we serve," TCS CEO and MD N Chandrasekaran said.
The centre will enhance the scope and scale of TCS' customer offerings in North America, he added.
Located in the Normandale Lake Office Park, the 50,000 sq feet facility will be home to roughly 300 TCS employees.
TCS won its first North American client in 1971 and set up operations in New York City in 1979. It now has 18 offices across the US.
