Tata Motors has reported a 4 per cent
decline in group global sales in September, which stood at 103,656 units.
The global sales of all commercial vehicles, including those of Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range, was higher by 3 per cent in the month under review, at 54,761 units.
"Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 22,434 units for the month, lower by 17 per cent, over September 2011," the company said in a statement.
However, the
company's passenger vehicles sales last month were lower by 11 per cent at 48,895 units.
Tata Motors reported that sales of Jaguar Land Rover brand in September 2012 were down 4 per cent at 26,461 units over September 2011.
"Jaguar sales for the month were 2,808 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales in September 2012 were 23,653 vehicles," the statement said.
The company added that its
overall cumulative wholesales for the financial year till now was up 8 per cent at 579,037 units, compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.
