
Two-wheeler major TVS Motor Company on Friday reported a 45.65 percent jump in its net profit to Rs 58.80 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 40.37 crore in theyear-ago period, TVS Motor Company said in a filing to the Bombay StockExchange (BSE).

The total income during the first quarter also increased by25.35 per cent to Rs 1,746.03 crore from Rs 1,392.96 crore in the year agoperiod, it added.
The company's board also recommended an interim dividend of60 per cent, which is Re 0.60 per share, absorbing Rs 32.77 crore for 2010-11.

The shares of the company on Friday closed 0.20 per cent upat Rs 49.35 apiece on the BSE.
