Instant messaging app WhatsApp has sparked off speculations that its voice-calling feature may soon be rolled out to all users as some users of the app claim they already have the option available to them.
The new feature is likely to help WhatsApp join the league of other messaging apps that already have the calling feature.
According to a report by Tech Crunch, a WhatsApp user has shared screenshots and video of the voice-calling feature in action, which he said was activated when someone who already had the feature called him.
The user posted screenshots and video to Reddit as proof, following which others also started posting screenshots, showing a new tab for Calls right next to the tabs for Chats and Contacts.
The user, based in India, points to the possibility that WhatsApp users in the country may be the early testers for the new feature.
