The
Zen UltraTab A100, priced at Rs 6,149, is one of the best budget tablets available in the market today.
Brushing aside the popular belief that affordable tabs do not look good, this 7-inch is worth praising. It is undoubtedly one of the slimmest tablets around.
However, it does not have a HDMI port and has poor viewing angles, and so can face a tough competition some other tablets in this price category.
Until now,
the Micromax Funbook was on top. At Rs 6,499, it justified the tag line 'Pass bhi hoga, timepass bhi hoga' - it has excellent video playback and numerous pre-loaded apps, including educational ones.
The next in line come the Zync 990 and
HCL Me U1 for Rs 6,4920 and Rs 7,999, respectively.
Recently, Karbonn too introduced the Smart Tab 1 that costs Rs 6,990 and claims a battery life of 6 hours.
Reliance Communication also jumped on to the tablet bangwagon
with its New 3G tablet but priced it almost double the bracket - at Rs 14,499.
All these tabs have a 7-inch display and run on Android 4.0 IceCream Sandwich.
