While IM app WeChat is not entirely a free voice-calling app, it also allows voice chats. "Live Chat feature is similar to conference calling facility allowing group of people to voice chat and it ensures that only one person talks at a time," a Freemake blog wrote.
Hike messenger, an Indian chat application, recently introduced voice-calling for its Android users, while the feature is unavailable as of now on iOS and Windows phones. With a 35-million userbase, Hike will offer the facility in over 200 countries.
WhatsApp seems to be the latest free-messaging app to join the free calls bandwagon. A Reddit user reported that he got the calling feature on his WhatsApp and was able to make a few calls to certain users.
