Facebook unveils online gift store

Now Facebook users in the US can give real gifts using the social networking platform. Facebook on Thursday unveiled this new service in the US and will it out across the world gradually.

Through Facebook Gifts, the users can select a gift and add a message along with it. Their friends are notified instantly and they can enter their own shipping info. Their friends can unwrap a preview of the gift and can swap for a different size, flavor or style before the gift ships.

Facebook users can send gifts from birthday reminders, or from their friend's timeline.

Facebook says that it is adding new items to its gifts store.
