Gionee launches Elife E8 in India at Rs 34,999, to be available exclusively at Snapdeal

Gionee launched its smartphones in India much before the Chinese players such as Xiaomi, OnePlus and Meizu entered the country's growing handset market. The company on Thursday announced the launch of its next flagship smartphone Gionee Elife E8 priced at Rs 34,999.

Until now, Gionee has been focusing only on the offline retail channel but with the Gionee Elife E8, the company is exploring the e-commerce channel to sell this smartphone, which will be available exclusively on Snapdeal starting October 12.

The Gionee Elife E8 features a 6-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution with 491ppi. It will be powered by a  2GHz MediaTek octa-core processor and is paired with 3GB of RAM. It will have 64GB of internal memory and will support up to 128GB of expandable memory.

The highlight of this smartphone is its 24MP camera, which is capable of producing images up to 120MP resolution. It has got Optical Image stabilization, up to 3x lossless zoom and sapphire glass lens protection. The Elife E8 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo 3.1, supports nine local languages and is a dual-SIM smartphone with LTE support. It has a fingerprint scanner, Hi-Fi audio  and a 3520mAh battery along with a fast-charging feature.
 
The Goinee Elife E8, priced at Rs 34,999, will face stiff competition from the OnePlus 2 (Rs 24,999) and the upcoming Nexus smartphones starting Rs 31,999.
