It's time of the year again when Apple launches new iPhones and this year too, Apple has announced the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
As speculated, the 3D Force Touch has been deeply integrated with the iOS 9 on these two iPhones, offering different actions on a tap, press and deep press. Apple has also upgraded the rear iSight camera to 12 MP, which captures 50 per cent more pixels than before. There is 4K video capture support and a 5MP FaceTime HD camera with Retina flash.
The new processor onboard is the third-generation A9 64-bit processor. Apple claims that the new processor is 70 per cent faster than an A8 processor and it even offers 90 per cent better graphics performance. The processor is accompanied by a M9 co-processor. The new way to wake up Siri will be to say 'Hey Siri'. Apple has also integrated the second-generation TouchID sensor into the home button.
With the new iPhones going on sale starting September 25, Apple has revealed the pricing for the two year contact. The iPhone 6s is priced at $199 for the 16GB variant, $299 for the 64GB variant, and $399 for the 128GB variant. The iPhone 6s Plus, on the other hand, is priced at $299 for the 16GB variant, $399 for the 64GB variant, and $499 for the 128GB variant.
With Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK and the US getting the new iPhones starting September 25, as always, India is not a part of the first phase launch. The pre-orders in the above mentioned countries will begin from September 12.
While Apple has not yet revealed the India launch date of the Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus yet, the Apple India landing page says 'coming soon'. In the past, Apple has been launching the new iPhones in-line with the festive season (Diwali).
