HTC launches dual-SIM Desire 501, Desire 601, Desire 700 in India

Expanding its dual-SIM smartphone portfolio, HTC has announced the launch of three new smartphones to its Desire series - the Desire 501, Desire 601 and Desire 700.

Desire 501, the mid-segment smartphone, is an active dual SIM device featuring a 4.3-inch WVGA (480800 pixels) display. It runs on Android 4.1.2 and is powered by a 1.15GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The device has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and Zeo support. The Desire 501 also has a 2.1 MP front camera and an 8GB internal storage with expandable memory of up to 64GB. Priced at Rs 16,890, it has a 2,100mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.

The Desire 601 isn't an active dual-SIM smartphone but it has a slightly bigger display measuring 4.5-inch qHD (960540 pixels) display. This smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera with HTC Zoe, VGA front camera, and two HTC BoomSound stereo speakers at the front. There is 4GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. The Desire 601 is available for Rs 24,190.

The Desire 700 is an active dual SIM World phone where SIM 1 can support any of the two - EVDO or 3G. It has a 5-inch qHD (960540 pixels) display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. There is HTC Zoe support, 2.1-megapixel front camera, two HTC BoomSound stereo speakers at the front, and 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card and a 2,100mAh battery. The Desire 700 is priced at Rs 33,050.

While the Desire 601 will be available in the market starting this weekend, the Desire 501 and the Desire 700 will be available around Christmas.
