Micromax on Friday announced the launch of its
10.1 inch tablet Funbook Pro priced competitively at Rs 9,999. The company came up with its launch after
selling 1.4 lakh Funbooks in 100 days.
This tablet features a 10.1 inch capacitive display and comes with Android IceCream Sandwich onboard. It will run on 1.2GHz processor, support HD video playback and will have 8GB internal storage with an expandable memory card slot.
The Funbook Pro will have 5600mAh battery and will be capable of offering 5 hours of browsing. Just like other tablets, this will be Wi-Fi enabled and have support for 3G Dongle. The company is also having a special offer where the Funbook Pro buyers can get Tata Photon Plus dongle at Rs 500 with 1GB data free for the first two months. Launch of two more tablets - the Funbook Alpha and Funbook Infinity - in the coming months are also in the offing by the company.
Micromax is also expanding its smartphone line-up by launching two phones - Superfone Pixel A90 and Superfone CanvasA100. The A90 has a 4.3 inch super AMOLED display while the A100 Canvas has a 5 inch capacitive display. Both the phones are powered by 1GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (IceCream Sandwich). While the A90 will have an 8MP camera, the A100 will have a 5MP camera. These will be priced at Rs 12,990 and Rs 9,999 respectively.
