Nikon launches sports optics range in India

Nikon India on Wednesday announced the launch of its sports optics range of binocular, fieldscopes and laser range finders. It is for the first time that the company will sell its sports optics range, one of its core product segments, directly in India. The range will showcase Nikon's prowess in precision optics and will have a solution for all use scenarios from sport to nature and marine.

The top of the line EDG range features ED glass, dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coating and advanced multilayer coating that delivers a spectacular field of view. One of the devices even feature lens-shift type vibration reduction system as seen in their Nikkor lenses.  
"Nikon's sports optic range has stood for exceptional performance for consumers across the world. We would like Indian customers to experience the superior technology of the Nikon Sports Optics range which comprises instruments of observation and photography that are ideal for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts," said Hiroshi Takashina, MD, Nikon India.

Nikon's range of binoculars, including compact, outdoor and marine devices, will be priced between Rs 3,740 and Rs 1,49,950. The fieldscopes which has use in astronomy, bird watching and sports will sell between Rs 22,450 and Rs 99,950. The laser rangefinders which are used for measuring distance will be available for between Rs 19,950 and Rs 33,450.
