
Reliance Jio Infocomm, the Mukesh Ambani led company, has rolled out a mobile app for Instant Messaging on platforms iOS and Android.
The app is named as Jio Chat, and is available for download from the App Store and Google Play.
Jio Chat is built on the similar lines of popular instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp, BBM, Line, WeChat, and Hike.
The app supports video chat, voice calling, messaging, conferencing, audio notes, instant video, doodles, stickers, and emoticons. It also has location sharing and status sharing features.
The mobile app also has chat channels to allow users to stay updated about their favorite celebrities, brands, news etc.
The app also comes with an offline chat option, which can be used to store typed messages after which they can be sent once the recipient or user comes online.
