Handset maker Sony Ericsson on Thursday announced the launch of its two new
smartphones - Xperia Arc and Xperia Play - priced at Rs 32,000 and Rs 35,000, respectively.
The Xperia range, which currently has five models, sold more than nine million handsets globally in 2010.

Sony Ericsson Country Head (India) Pawan Chadha told reporters in the national capital.
The company however, declined to comment on India specific numbers.
"According to a recent report 'Mobile Youth Around the World' by media research firm Nielsen, the Indian mobile phone market offers immense growth opportunity for smartphone, given that only 10 per cent of the Indian youth have smartphones and 90 per cent of them still have feature phones," Chadha said.
Based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor, Xperia Arc is equipped with 10.6-cm touch screen, expandable memory up to 32GB and 8.1 mega pixel camera.
Xperia Play, which allows users to play PlayStation Suite games on the handset, is equipped with four-inch screen and a 5.1 mega pixel camera.
