Toshiba launches world's first Ultra HD laptop Satellite P50 in India

Toshiba has launched the Satellite P50, the world's first Ultra HD 4K laptop, in India.

Priced at Rs 86,000, the Satellite P50 features a 15.6-inch touchscreen display with a 3840 x 2160 resolution. It packs in stereo speakers by Harman Kardon in a 27.9mm sleek metallic finish body.

The device is powered by 4th Gen Intel Core H series processors (47W) and has AMD Radeon R9 M265X graphics. It houses a 1 TB hard drive with (3D sensor) to store and share HD content, four USB 3.0 ports, a UHS-II SD card slot, Wi-Fi, and HDMI ports capable of 4K output.

At a press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Japanese giant also introduced its detachable hybrid along with a professional workstation under its 'Greatest of all' range in the country.

The Portege Z10t-A Ultrabook is a detachable hybrid with an 11.6-inch IPS Full HD display with Corning» Concore Glass and an anti-glare coating. Its features include a full-size SD card slot, USB 3.0 and Micro HDMI port, and an audio combo jack. The keyboard dock features full-size HDMI, RGB, LAN and USB 2.0 port. The Satellite L30W is an affordable detachable PC with full functionality and is priced at Rs 53,520.

In addition, Tecra W50 is the company's first professional workstation which packs in Intel Quad Core i7 -4800MQ vPro processor 2.7 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 up to 3.70 GHz (6MB Cache) processor. Its NVIDIA Quadro graphics card with fast GDDR5 memory delivers a dramatically higher performance to accelerate tasks such as video editing and creating animations.
