Every year, a few weeks after an iPhone launch, buyers complain about certain anomalies in their devices. The iPhone 6 was subjected to the infamous "bend-gate" that took a hit at their sales. This year, it's a "hiss-gate" that's overshadowing iPhone sales.
As the name suggests, it's a weird hissing sound that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus produce when the processor is under pressure. So far, there have been many reports about the sound but none has translated to any kind of fatality.

The company has acknowledged the problem by replacing the faulty devices. The mild sound might even go unnoticed in a few cases.
There is no confirmation if the new wave of devices that will hit the Indian market are free of this problem but if the Indian buyers face similar problem Apple should place recall system for the faulty devices.
Although, the sound won't pose a major issue, even in the longer run, but the buyer should consider getting the device replaced as the inbuilt microphone of the phone can easily pick up the hissing sounds while audio and video recording.
