Apple has begun work on next iPhone models: What to expect

Apple Inc has started early production of its next iPhone models. While some tech blogs are calling the devices iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, others have christened it iPhone 7.

According to the Bloomberg report, the newest iPhones will have the same screen size and similar exterior design as the iPhone 6 (4.7-inch) and iPhone 6 Plus (5.5-inch). Apple is expected to ramp up production of the devices in July, the report adds.

Here are some features speculated to be incorporated in the next iPhones :

 

1. Force Touch: The feature will gauge how hard the users are pressing down on the smartphone screen in order to adjust the strength of their taps to open different icons. Apple Watch and the newest MacBook already sport the Force Touch feature.
2. 12 MP sensors in camera: Apple iPhone currently have 8-megapixel cameras.
3. Dual-camera technology:

   Though the company is speculated to be experimenting with the provision to improve sharpness in low-light, the feature is unlikely to be a part of the new device to be launched this year since it will take longer to develop.
   
4. Battery life:

   One of the biggest upgrades in the iPhone 6S will be the new Qualcomm LTE MDM9635M chip. The new chip is capable of giving double the download speed given by current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones. The new chipset will remarkably improve upon the battery life of the new iPhone.
   
5. Internal mounting structure:

   Some minor changes are likely in the internal mounting structure on the new logic board.
   
6. Connector holes:

   The headphone, microphone, etc. are most likely to be the same as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
   

Apple is likely to keep with convention and launch the new iPhone in September.
