Apple launches new iPod touch, iPod Nano

At the launch of the iPhone 5 , Apple took the wraps off its refreshed iPod lineup.

The new iPod touch will be the thinnest iPod touch ever with the 4 inch Retina Display, a dual-core A5 rocessor, a 5 megapixel iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording, Siri, the intelligent assistant and iOS 6 operating system. At 6 mm thin and weighing 88 grams, the iPod touch retains the in-cell display of the iPhone 5.  With claims to provide 40 hours of music playback time, the new iPod touch will come in light anodized aluminium design and will be available in five colours - Black, White, Cyan, Red and Yellow.



The new iPod Nano features a 2.5-inch Multi-Touch display along with features such as Bluetooth for wireless listening and FM Radio. It is ultra sleek at 5mm thickness. The Nano features a 2.5-inch Multi-Touch display to make navigating your music even easier; a home button to quickly get back to your home screen; and convenient buttons to easily control volume and quickly play, pause or change songs without looking. It also features pedometer and some fitness related features.. The new iPod Nano will be available in 7 colour options including Red, Green, Purple, Slate, Black, Yellow and Blue.

The new 'Lightning' dock connector can be found in both the new iPod touch and iPod Nano. Both will also come with the new Apple EarPods featuring a design for more natural fit, increased durability and an incredible acoustic quality typically reserved for higher end headphones.

The new iPod touch and iPod Nano are expected to be available in October through Apple Authorized Resellers. The iPod Nano will be available be priced at Rs 12,500 for 16GB variant while we don't have any information about the pricing of the iPod touch yet.
