Flipkart offers Moto G at Rs 2,000 discount

Online retailer Flipkart has introduced an exchange scheme for Motorola's latest offering Moto G .

Under the scheme, users can exchange their old phones for Moto G and also get Rs 2,000 discount for 8GB and 16GB versions of the new smartphone.

With the exchange offer, the Rs 12,499 (8GB) and Rs 13,999 (16GB) price tags on the Moto G get reduced to Rs 10,499 and Rs 11,999 respectively.

The US-based firm launched its much-awaited budget phone Moto G in India through Flipkart on February 6. There was tremendous response from online shoppers to the launch with the 16GB version being sold out in first 15 minutes.

Within few weeks of the Moto G launch, Motorola officially launched Moto X in India priced Rs 23,999 onwards.The Moto X smartphone is be exclusively available through the e-commerce website Flipkart that started selling the device March 19 with launch day offers.
 
The Android-based Moto X was launched in August last year and was initially available in US only.
