Virtual reality is the next big technology everyone has been talking about. Korean car maker Hyundai announced on Monday the launch of its VR based mobile app for the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team for the Indian market.
This VR+ based application will be available for download on all smartphones and can be used with a Cardboard-based VR or any commercial VR device available in the market.
The company claims that this application will bring a Virtual Reality or 360-degree panoramic view play function from the co-driver's seat of the Hyundai Shell World Rally Team driver.
The functions of the i20 WRC application VR+ include VR(Cardboard) functionality, 360 degrees panoramic view, Hyundai Motorsport images, 3D games and Facebook integration within game. The app supports five languages including English, German, French, Spanish and Korean.
The WRC is a tough motorsports series where production-based vehicles have been engineered to overcome extreme terrain and weather conditions. The 2015 season has 13 rounds and started in January this year. The last round is scheduled for November.
