As promised, Apple has also released updated versions of its last year's flagship. The iPhone 6s Plus 32GB will cost Rs  60,000 and the 128GB variant will rob you of a good Rs 70,000.

With the festive season on the horizon, Apple is all set with new devices and a new price-list. The new smartphones, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to drive the sales of the company, but India's diverse market might also respond well to the older discounted smartphones.

Apple has played a big gamble with the new devices by subtracting the 3.5mm headphone jack from the mix. Though they are providing a lightning port-to-3.5mm jack dongle the acceptance of the change is still in question.

Apple's biggest competitor, Samsung, has got itself entrenched in the Note 7 fiasco and with no device guarding their flagship-frontline, Apple might take home most of the festive-season sales.
