Launched in London this May, the Nokia Lumia 925 is now available for purchase in India. Earlier this week, Nokia had announced
online pre-bookings for the phone through stores like Flipkart, Indiatimes and Homeshop18.
While online stores are still limiting themselves to pre-bookings, the Lumia 925 can be bought from certain Nokia stores in New Delhi at a market operating price (MOP) of Rs 34,300. The MRP of the phone is Rs 38,000. Available in black, white and grey variants, the device is expected to arrive at other mobile retail stores in the next two days.
This new Lumia fuses together a polycarbonate body with a metal frame in an 8.5-mm form factor. It has a 4.5-inch AMOLED display with 1280x786p resolution protected by Gorilla 2 glass. The Windows Phone 8 device is powered by a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 1GB RAM. The phone has 16GB onboard memory with access to 7GB free storage on SkyDrive cloud storage. The phone weighs 139 grams with a 2000 mAh battery.
A highlight of the phone is its 8.7MP camera with dual LED flash, optical image stabilisation and auto-focus. It will feature the Nokia Smart Camera mode that can take ten shots at once, allowing further edit with tools like Best Shot, Action Shot and Motion Focus. Nokia is selling add-on covers supporting wireless charging.
