
Samsung Electronics has announced its new tablet, Galaxy Tab S2. Available in two sizes - 9.7-inch and 8-inch - the tablet will be launched globally in August.
Galaxy Tab S2 is 5.6 mm thick and weighs 389 grams (9.7-inch model) and 265 grams (for 8-inch model).
The tablet has Super AMOLED display at 2048x1536 px resolution and an Octa- core processor, with a microSD slot that allows users to add an additional 128GB of space.
In addition, the Galaxy Tab S2 has 3GB RAM with internal storage of 32GB and 64GB, depending on the variant.
The tablet will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It comes with an 8 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front camera.
Samsung has also included a fingerprint reader in the Galaxy Tab S2, allowing users to secure and unlock the device with just a touch of the home key.
The South Korean company is yet to reveal the price of the new tab.
