Sony launches Vaio Flip series in India

The new Vaio Flip is available in 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch sizes and the price starts from Rs 94,990.

Sony launches Vaio Flip series in India
Japanese tech company Sony has launched its Flip range of hybrid laptops in India after it was showcased at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month. The main draw of this series is the hinge mechanism which helps the user to switch to different modes-laptop, tablet and viewer. The new Vaio Flip is available in 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch sizes and the price starts from Rs 94,990.  

The Vaio Flip F13N1A has got a 13.3-inch full HD touch display and runs on Intel's fourth-generation processors (up to i7 clocked at 1.6GHz). The model has Intel HD Graphics 4400 with up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256 GB SSD and a battery that lasts for up to 7.5 hours. It also features an 8MP rear camera and connectivity options like HDMI, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and NFC. This is priced at Rs 99,990.

The series runs on Windows 8.1 operating system and is powered by 4th Generation Intel Core i5 & i7 processors, SSD (F13N) and hybrid drive (F14N/F15N). Vaio Flip F15N is also powered by Nvidia graphics.

The Vaio Flip F14N16 features a 14-inch full HD touch display with 8 GB of RAM, up to 750 GB hybrid drive, HD camera. It  weighs 1.31 Kg and its battery lasts up to 7.5 hours. Connectivity options available are HDMI, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and NFC. It is priced lower than the 13-inch variant as this machine has got a hard disk over an SSD.

The Vaio Flip 15-inch features two variants - F15N12 and F15N17. The Vaio Flip F15N12 comes with a 15.5-inch full HD touch display, 4GB RAM, 1TB flash storage, HD camera and is priced at Rs 1,04,990, while the F15N17 clocked at 1.8GHz costs Rs 1,19,990.

The company is also offering freebies like headphones worth Rs 12,990, unlimited music downloads for 3 months via Sony Music and extended warranty. The new series of tablet-cum-laptop will be available in the stores from January 29.
