Sony rolling out ICS upgrade for Xperia P

Sony has announced that it would be rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 software upgrade for Xperia P smartphones. The Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 will happen over the next few weeks across the globe.

Sony said that Xperia P users will get a notification when the upgrade is ready and in some cases, the upgradation software may only be accessible via PC or Mac instead of directly in the phone.

Sony said that Xperia U , Xperia Sola and Xperia Go smarphones would also later get an ICS upgrade.

The ICS upgrade will offer new functionalities to the Sony Xperia phones including resizable widgets for improved personalization, improved control over mobile data consumption, and extended standby mode.
