Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro: Designed to entertain

All tablets look alike, just the way smartphones do. But this isn't true for Lenovo's Yoga Tab 3 Pro.

All tablets look alike, just the way smartphones do. But this isn't true for Lenovo's Yoga Tab 3 Pro. It has a cylindrical spine, making it flexible enough to be used in various modes. It is splash resistant and has a built-in projector, too.

The recently launched Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a 10.1-inch tablet with HD display. It has a sleek design with a cylindrical hinge along with a kickstand on one side. Just press the button and the kickstand pops out that allows the tablet to stand at various angles. These different angles come handy while typing or while watching multimedia content. There is also a hook using which you can hang the tablet.

The cylindrical hinge awards it a good grip to hold. Also placed on the rotatable hinge is the pico projector that turns it into a multimedia monster. On one side of the hinge is the power button whereas the other one has the projector button. This tablet is splash resistant, making it ideal for the kitchen as well as bathroom. We poured water on the tablet to test splash resistance and it lived up to the claims.

The biggest highlight of this tablet is its built-in projector that makes it an entertainment hub. Having a built-in projector doesn't make it a complicated tablet. Instead, operating it is just child's play. Long pressing the projector key on the hinge turns on the projector, which mirrors the tablet screen on any surface, be it the wall or the ceiling. A circular dial appears on the display that can be used to adjust the focus. It can manage to project an image of up to 70 inch, which is pretty decent.  The projection from the 50 lumen projector wasn't very bright and appeared slightly darker that what was playing on the screen. But it still gives you power to convert any place into a multimedia room with projector.

Placing it on the rotatable hinge also adds to the comfort of using the project at different angles. Thankfully, the 4 front facing JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos are loud enough for a small room. You can always add a Bluetooth speaker for better sound. It easily streamed full HD videos without any lag or heating up. Powered by Intel Atom processor clocked at 2.24Ghz and paired with 2GB RAM, it was a decent performer. It was smooth to browse the web and play games. However, at times, there was a slight lag while launching the apps or navigating. Lenovo has also added a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera to the tablet. the images of the rear camera were decent, and can be used on social networking sites.

Lastly, the Lenovo Tab 3 Pro packs in a huge 10200 mAh battery which is good enough to last a couple of days with a usage of 7 to 8 hours daily. It also bundles up as a battery pack to charge your smartphone or any other gadget.
