
Internet service providers like Airtel XStream, JioFIber, BSNL, Excitel and Tata Sky broadband offer broadband plans under Rs 1000 that offer up to 300 Mbps speed. These plans also give access to streaming benefits. According to subscriber data shared by TRAI for July 2021, BSNL recorded the highest number of wired broadband users while JioFiber recorded the highest number of wireless broadband users. It was also recently proposed that the minimum broadband speed by internet service providers should be 2 Mbps. If you can spend as much as Rs 1000 for your monthly broadband plan, you can consider the following plans from Airtel XStream, JioFiber, Excitel, Tata Sky broadband and BSNL Bharat Fiber. These plans are priced under Rs 1000 and offer up to 300 Mbps speed.
Airtel Entertainment broadband plan at Rs 999: Airtel XStream entertainment broadband plan offers unlimited internet and calls with high speed up to 200 Mbps. The streaming benefits of this plan include a yearly subscription to Zee5 Premium and Amazon Prime with access to the Airtel XStream box. The plan also comes with access to Disney+ Hotstar Super which is separately priced at Rs 899 per year. Disney+ Hotstar Super users get access to 2 devices with video quality restricted in HD.
BSNL Premium Fibre Rs 999 broadband plan: BSNL Fibre Premium broadband plan offers 200 Mbps speed for Rs 999 till 3300GB or 3.3 TB after which the speed is reduced to 2Mbps. This plan comes with a free premium membership to Disney+ Hotstar. BSNL also partnered with YuppTV to give streaming benefits to broadband users for Rs 129 a month. The add-on plans known as Cinema Plus plans offer four OTT subscriptions- YuppTV, ZEE5, SonyLIV, and Voot.
JioFiber Rs 999 broadband plan: This broadband plan comes with truly unlimited internet with download and upload speeds of up to 150Mbps. The plan also provides unlimited voice calling and access to 14 OTT apps including Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar worth Rs 1000. Broadband plans with access to all 15 OTT apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sony Liv, Voot Select, Lionsgate, SunNxt, Hoichoi, Alt Balaji, Voot Kids, Eros Now, Discovery +, Alt Balaji, and Hungama Play are priced at a slightly upper range.
Excitel Rs 999 broadband plan: For a month's validity Excitel is giving a broadband plan with unlimited internet and 300 Mbps speed priced at Rs 999 and the same plan comes for Rs Rs 499 a month which comes to Rs 5988 a year respectively. Excitel has a broadband plan at Rs 752 broadband plan that gives users access to multiple over-the-top (OTT) platforms namely ZEE5, Voot, Eros, Shemaroo at no added cost. The subscriptions are complementary with Excitel's 300 Mbps, 3months plan which currently comes for Rs 752 per month and Rs 2256 for three months. The plan is available in all Excitel servicing cities.
TataSky Rs 950 broadband plan: This broadband plan from Tata Sky offers 100 Mbps data and unlimited calling and is priced at Rs 950 for a month. The same plan gives a subscription for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months respectively for Rs 2700, Rs 4500 and Rs 8400 which comes down to Rs 900, Rs 750 and Rs 700 a month. Tata Sky does not offer any streaming benefits with this plan.
