Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduced a prepaid plan priced at Rs 398 that offers unlimited data with no speed restriction. The plan is popular because it has a validity of 30 days, something which private telcos are now trying to achieve with the introduction of new plans with 30 days and 60 days validity. The plan also offers unlimited calls along with unlimited data. Airtel, Jio and Vi do offer prepaid plans at a similar price point with 3GB daily data and unlimited calls.

Jio introduced five no daily data limit plans, one of which is priced at Rs 247 that gives 25GB data and comes with 30 days validity, unlimited calls and Jio apps. Airtel has further increased the benefits of the Rs 299 prepaid plan to 30 days. The plan gives 30GB of data with unlimited calls for 30 days and 100 SMS per day. The additional benefits of this plan include access to Prime Video Mobile Edition, Airtel XStream Premium, Free hello tunes, Wynk Music, access to Apollo 24 | 7, Rs 100 cashback on Fastag, and free online courses.

BSNL Rs 398 prepaid plan is popular for giving unlimited data without any speed restriction along with unlimited domestic voice calls and national roaming in the MTNL network in Delhi and Mumbai with 100 SMS per day including MTNL areas of Mumbai and Delhi.

Airtel vs Jio vs Vi 3GB daily data plans under Rs 500

Jio Rs 349 prepaid plan: This plan comes with 3GB data per day and unlimited on-net calling benefits and 28-day validity and unlimited domestic calls. The pack also gives a complimentary subscription to Jio apps.

Airtel Rs 398 prepaid plan: This plan gives 3GB data per day with 28 days validity. This plan also gives unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. The additional benefits include a subscription of Airtel Xstream Premium included in addition to subscriptions to Wynk Music and Shaw Academy. Customers will also get Free HelloTunes and Rs 150 cashback on FASTag transactions. There are no streaming benefits with this plan.

Vi Rs 401 prepaid plan: Vi's prepaid plan offers 3GB daily data for 28 days and gives 100 SMS per day. It also gives 16GB of extra data and a 1-year VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. It also gives additional benefits like high-speed nighttime internet, weekend rollover data benefit, and Vi movies and TV.
