Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has completed the migration of its postpaid customers and brought them all under the Vodafone RED umbrella. After the migration, all Vodafone Idea customers will be able to avail of the benefits that come with Vodafone RED.
Vodafone, through the migration, will provide a unified service to both Vodafone and Idea customers.
The integration will help the call centre agents to solve customer queries more seamlessly as they will get a holistic view through customer insights. The customers will also receive real-time alerts and notifications for overconsumption, Telecom Talk noted.
Besides, there is no separate onboarding and service process required for existing customers on Idea Nirvana postpaid plans. They will automatically be migrated through the operator. When customers visit the Idea Nirvana website, they are automatically redirected to Vodafone's site.
According to Vodafone Idea, it has merged 92 per cent of the total circles taking the total count of integrated circles to 18. This means that people who are currently not using Vodafone Red plans or are using Nirvana plans have been moved to the Red offerings. In other words, this would mean that all the new postpaid customers will be merged under Vodafone Red plans whereas the existing users will be migrated to Red.
Vishant Vora, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone Idea, in a statement said: "The consolidation of Vodafone and Idea postpaid customers is a major step towards our vision of one company, one network. One of the biggest and fastest migrations in the telecom space, this has led to operational synergies and process standardisation for both our postpaid retail and enterprise customers. It enables us to provide enhanced customer experience to our postpaid users."
The change is also applicable to Idea Nirvana and Idea post-paid customers. It has been a year since Vodafone and Idea Cellular merged their India operations in August 2018.
Vodafone Red currently has three postpaid plans under the Individual section. These plans are priced at Rs 399, Rs 499, and a REDX plan that offers priority 4G network at Rs 1099.
