iPhones launching this year are expected to see a major price hike, especially the Pro models. The latest leak from AppleLeaksPro suggests that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will be more expensive compared to the existing 13 Pro models. As usual, Apple is expected to unveil four models for the 2022 iPhone series, including the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the iPhone 14 Max. That's right, the iPhone 14 Max is expected to replace the mini this year. There will not be any mini model this year.
The tipster states that it is due to the coming of the iPhone 14 Max that the prices of the Pro models will see a significant jump when compared to the predecessor. The iPhone 13 mini is currently priced around $699 but the upcoming iPhone 14 Max will be priced much higher, around $899, the tipster suggests. This will directly impact the prices of the Pro models.
As per the new leak, the iPhone 14 will be priced at $799, which is similar to the iPhone 13. But the change is that prices will be from the Max to the Pro models. It is suggested that the iPhone 14 Max will be priced at around $899, which will replace the cheaper iPhone 13 Mini launched at a price of $699. The tipster suggests that the iPhone 14 Max is going to be the star of this year's iPhone event, which should take place in the fall.
This will automatically increase the prices of the Pro models. As per the tipster, the iPhone 14 Pro will start at a price of $1099, which is much higher than the iPhone 13 Pro which comes at $999. The top-end model dubbed the iPhone 14 Pro Max is tipped to be priced at $1199, again around $100 higher than the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
As per rumours and leaks circulating on the internet, the iPhone 14 series will come with the A16 Bionic chipset, which will merely be a rebranded version of the A15 chip that powers the iPhone 13 series. The tipster suggests that the company is planning to rebrand A15 to A16 because of the global chip shortage. It is said that the Cupertino-based tech giant is struggling to "manufacture all the A16 and M2 chips they need".
