The CEO of Netflix, Greg Peters, doesn't seem too excited about Apple's new gadget, the Apple Vision Pro. In a recent interview with the Stratechery, he revealed that Netflix, along with other popular apps like YouTube and Spotify, is not available on the Apple Vision Pro as an app.

So, what's the deal? According to Peters, the issue boils down to size – not the physical size, but the number of people using it. Peters explained that they need to be super careful about where they spend their time and money, and right now, the Apple Vision Pro user base isn't enough to make Netflix go all-in. "We'll see where things go with Vision Pro," Peters added. "Right now, it's not really important for most of our members."

Now, Peters did mention a glimmer of hope – if Apple sweetens the deal with some incentives, Netflix might reconsider. He reminded everyone that Netflix and Apple have a history of teamwork and always explore ways to help each other out. "Sometimes we find a great space of overlap," Peters said, leaving the door slightly open.

Even though Apple Vision Pro had around 180,000 pre-orders in its opening weekend, Peters pointed out that this number is peanuts compared to the millions of other devices like smartphones and regular TVs. In plain terms, right now, Apple Vision Pro isn't making Netflix sit up and take notice.

Looking ahead, Peters hinted that if more folks start using Apple Vision Pro and demand Netflix on it, they might think about creating a special app. But for now, if you own an Apple Vision Pro, you can still catch your favorite Netflix shows using the Safari browser.

As technology keeps evolving, companies like Netflix are treading carefully, making sure they invest where it matters most for their users. So, while the Apple Vision Pro might not be a game-changer for Netflix just yet, who knows what the future holds? Time will tell if it becomes a Netflix-worthy platform or remains a blip on the streaming giant's radar.
