OnePlus is gearing up to launch a new mid-range 5G phone in North America. While the company hasn't yet officially made an announcement via social media handles, it did confirm to The Verge that the OnePlus Nord N300 will arrive next month. The exact launch date is yet to be revealed. The device is also said to make it to the Indian market. Here's everything you need to know.
The OnePlus Nord N300 will be using a MediaTek chipset, which is a first for this region. The exact name of the processor is unknown. The cited source is claiming that the new one will pack a 90Hz display for a slightly better scrolling experience than the standard 60Hz screens.
The company has reportedly confirmed that the device will come with support for 33W fast charging. Until now, OnePlus hasn't removed chargers from its retail box. So, the company is expected to provide a fast charger too, along with the 5G phone.
The rest of the details are yet to be revealed. We expect it to feature the typical punch-hole display design and lack an alert slider, which is something we have been seeing on older models. The device will reportedly be priced under $300 segment, which is about Rs 24,660 in India when converted.
The OnePlus Nord N300 is also said to launch in India, but with a different name, according to details revealed by tipster Mukul Sharma. The cited source is claiming that the internal testing of this 5G phone has already begun in India, which basically means that this could arrive in the coming months.
It will reportedly be launched with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The handset could be sold in Black and Blue colours. There are chances that the company could unveil this model under its OnePlus Nord Lite series. But, since there is no official confirmation on this, users are advised to take the details with a pinch of salt.
