Realme is set to host another launch in India today. After the premium Realme 12 Pro series, then the mid-range Realme 12 series, followed by the budget Narzo 70 Pro 5G, the company is now preparing to launch the entry-level Realme 12X smartphone in India. The smartphone will likely be priced under Rs 12,000. The launch is scheduled for 12 pm today and will take place virtually.
Ahead of the official launch, there are a bunch of details about the Realme 12X 5G that the company has already teased. Most of the teasers that have come from the company claim that the device will have a hoard of "segment-first" features.
Realme has confirmed that the Realme 12X will come with a 5,000 mAh battery, and it will be the first smartphone in the segment to come with 45W SuperVOOC charging. As per Realme, the fast charging support on the Realme 12X will allow it to fuel up from 0-50 percent within just 30 minutes. In addition to that, the entry-level phone will also feature reverse charging capabilities, which isn't commonly seen in smartphones in this segment.
Realme has also said that the Realme 12X 5G will sport the "brightest 120 Hz display" in the segment. Usually, smartphones in the entry-level offer a 60 Hz display or at max a 90 Hz. But 120 Hz would be a first.
The Realme 12X 5G has also been teased to come with the "fastest 6nm 5G chipset". The company has not confirmed exactly which chipset the smartphone will come with.
Additionally, Realme has also confirmed that the Realme 12X 5G will offer dual speaker support –– again a segment-first feature.
The smartphone will also come with the same VC cooling technology that has been seen in the recent Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G. The Realme 12X 5G will also borrow features like the Dynamic button and Air Gestures from the smartphone.
Aas for the pricing, Realme hasn't exactly hinted at the pricing of the phone yet, but considering the Realme 11X 5G was launched in India at Rs 12,999, we can expect the Realme 12X 5G to be priced similarly.
Finally, the design on the Realme 12X 5G is in line with the aesthetics we have also seen on the premium Realme 12 Pro series recently. It will come with a vegan leather back –– from the teasers it seems like a glasstic material –– but it maintains the theme of a big round camera module and a thin metal strip running along the spine of the phone.
